LET’S MAKE SOME BEAUTIFUL NOISE

Part artistic spectacle, part fashion show, part underground ball—ALTBALL is a unique creative showcase that is both *of* the community and *for* the community.

We're seeking volunteers to join a crazy-talented hair and makeup team for our May 15th event at The Sovereign. This year's theme, ICON, celebrates the fearless fashion of music's cultural trailblazers—from Bowie's glam to Grace Jones' sculptural power, from Bad Bunny's boundary-pushing style to Lil Nas X's camp.

This isn't your typical runway show. Expect high energy, creative collaboration, and the chance to work on looks that range from theatrical glam to editorial edge. You'll be part of a backstage team that makes the magic happen—problem-solving on the fly, supporting each other, and bringing bold creative visions to life.

What you'll be part of:

• Working alongside professional artists to transform 40+ models, dancers, drag performers, and ballroom legends

• Creating avant-garde looks inspired by music's greatest fashion rebels

• Supporting designers who are pushing boundaries and making statements

• Contributing your skills to an event that raises critical funds for DOORWAYS, providing housing and support for our community's most vulnerable

Date: May 15th, 2026 @ The Sovereign in Midtown STL (HMU schedule to be confirmed, but you should assume commitment from noon on.)

While this is not a paid position – this is a volunteer-driven show for a good cause – we're happy to reimburse for supplies or kit usage.
