Yasi Fayal

Hailing from Tehran, Iran, Yasi Fayal is a fashion designer, jewelry designer, and founder of MAANG by Yasi Fayal.

After graduating with a degree in mining engineering, Fayal switched course. Her passion for art, design, and fashion led her to Italy, where she completed an MFA in fashion design at Milan’s Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera.

Her designs play with shape and volume, featuring geometric elements that balance “oriental tradition influences with contemporary styles.” A member of STL Fashion Alliance, Fayal has showcased her collections in fashion shows from Milan to Kansas City to Omaha to St. Louis, and she has used her collections to benefit various charities, including Siteman Cancer Center and the Salvation Army. Her work has been featured in several exhibitions, including Threads Fundraiser Gala, Missouri History Museum, Saint Louis (2024), “It's Not You, It's Me”, The Sheldon Art Galleries, Saint Louis (2019), ”feeding the planet, energy for life “, the World EXPO , Milan (2015).

Fayal pulls inspiration from different sources: sometimes it’s her surroundings and society, sometimes nature, and sometimes thoughts and ideas that inhabit her mind and dreams. She is attentive to women’s issues, challenges, and emotions. The combination of two cultures sometimes unconsciously appears in her designs, and she wants every collection to convey her message.
