GENNY CORTINOVIS

Genevieve Cortinovis is the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Associate Curator of Decorative Arts and Design at the Saint Louis Art Museum. Since joining SLAM in 2012, she has curated numerous exhibitions including St. Louis Modern, Fabricating Empire: Folk Textiles and the Making of Modern Austrian Design, Bolts of Color: Printed Textiles after WWII, and Roaring: Art, Fashion, and the Automobile in France 1918-1939, open now until July 27. She holds an MA in the history of decorative arts, design, and material culture from the Bard Graduate Center and a BA in art history from Barnard College, both in New York City.
